Distillery tours for 2022
We are delighted to offer the following Distillery tours for 2022. Please note that bookings can only be made online and that we are unable to offer walk-in in tours. Our booking system accepts all major credit cards, including American Express.
Electric Vehicle Charge Point
As part of our continued efforts to remain as sustainable as possible, we have installed two Electric Vehicle charge points. These are currently free to use and are available to visitors.
Our 22kW, dual-outlet, fast charging point will allow users to get a significant charge while spending time here so if you are using an Electric Vehicle to get about, we are very happy for you to ‘fill up’ while you are here.
If you have any questions, please call us on (+44) 01807 500331.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Ballindalloch Distillery Tour and Tasting

After your tour, which includes a visit to a warehouse, you will discover the art of maturation in the splendour of the Long Gallery. A tutored tasting with Ann will reveal the vital role the oak plays in creating flavours in Scotch whisky. In addition to a sample of new spirit, plus a couple of expressions of Cask Strength, 7 year old Ballindalloch Single Malt Scotch Whisky you will also taste an aged Cragganmore from a private cask of the Macpherson-Grant family.

Manager’s Tour with Colin Poppy
Built to reflect the traditions of distilleries more familiar to generations past, we have a rare attitude to making whisky.
In the company of Distillery Manager Colin Poppy, you will see what it means to us to make our whisky using a fully manual, hands-on process.
This is a detailed but relaxed look into the distillery, with each visit tailored to our guests. You will get as close as it is possible to get to the whisky-making process and understand why we have been awarded the Icons of Whisky Craft Producer of the Year four times in the seven years we have been operational.
Your time with us will finish in the Long Gallery, where you will be among the first in the world to sample a couple of expressions of Cask Strength, 7-year-old Ballindalloch Single Malt Scotch Whisky, along with 3 samples of aged Cragganmore from the private casks of the Macpherson-Grant family.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DRIVER'S PACKS ARE NOT PERMITTED FOR THIS TOUR
Day: Every Monday
Time: 10.00 am – 12.30 pm
Maximum: 8 people
Cost: £100.00 pp
The Art of Whisky Making
This is certainly not a tour! It is a chance to experience, and be fully involved in, a full day of production.
Your day will start at 8.00 am when you will be welcomed by Distillery Manager Colin Poppy who will outline your day ahead and introduce you to the production team. Ian, David and Archie will then oversee your time working with them in all aspects of their day, from milling and mashing through to distilling and cask filling. We do not rely on automation here, so prepare to be very busy!
Regardless of your level of whisky making knowledge, you are assured of learning something new. As the winner of the Icons of Whisky Craft Producer of the Year in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022, we are proud to be able to offer you a rare opportunity to experience whisky making the way it always used to be.
Your day will finish relaxing in the Family Room with a very special dram.
Lunch is provided, so if you have any dietary requirements, please let Colin know via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Date: Every Thursday
Time: 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
Maximum: 2 people
Cost: £195.00 pp
