We have designed this shorter experience to welcome visitors from our local area and beyond, to have access to our award-winning manual distillery and to hear how we make our sustainable single estate malt whisky.

You will walk through our production area with our distillery ambassador then sample two of our single cask Ballindalloch whiskies, to showcase how our smooth and fruity spirit matures in both American white oak barrels and European sherry butts. (We provide drivers bottles if required)

To avoid disappointment please book online prior to your visit, but if there is space on a tour, we accept walk-ins on the day.

This is where you can reserve a private tour and tasting at Ballindalloch Distillery and discover not only the magic of malt whisky production, but the unique history of our family-owned manual distillery. You will enjoy an in-depth tour and tasting with our experienced distillery ambassador, who will tailor the experience to your interest and knowledge. You will be guided through our whiskies at the end of the tour, in a tutored tasting of our rare and unique Ballindalloch single malt.

This is where you can reserve a private tasting at Ballindalloch Distillery. For those who do not need to see round the distillery and simply wish to enjoy and appreciate some of the best whisky Speyside has to offer. Our experienced distillery ambassador will guide you through 4 whiskies, including our award winning and limited editions of Ballindalloch single malt and a very unique and aged dram from the family's private cask collection.

This is certainly not a tour! We are a small, craft distillery with a dedicated team. This is your chance to experience, and be fully involved in a full day of distillery operations and single malt production alongside them. Your day will start at 8am with Colin, the Distillery Manager, Davy, Neal, Josh and Sam. You will learn and assist them in all aspects of their day, from milling and mashing, distilling and cask filling to bottling and labelling. We do not rely on automation here, so prepare to be very busy!

Regardless of your level of whisky making knowledge, you are assured of learning something new. As the winner of the Icons of Whisky Craft Producer of the Year in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022, we are proud to be able to offer you a rare opportunity to experience whisky making and operations the way it always used to be. Your day will finish relaxing in the Family Room with a very special dram.
