Single Estate Whisky Experience
Built to reflect the traditions of distilleries more familiar to generations past, we have a rare attitude to making whisky.
For this half-day experience, you will see what it means to us to make our whisky using a fully manual process.
This gives you a detailed and more hands-on technical insight into the distillery alongside our production team. You will get as close as possible to the whisky-making process and understand why we have been awarded the Icons of Whisky Craft Producer of the Year four times.
Your time with us will finish with a tutored tasting with our distillery ambassador, where you will be among the first in the world to sample Ballindalloch Single Malt Scotch Whisky, along with samples of aged Cragganmore from the private casks of the Macpherson-Grant family.
Day: Tuesday
Time: 08.00 am – 12.30 pm
Maximum: 2 people

The Art of Whisky Making
This is certainly not a tour! It is a chance to experience and be fully involved in a full day of production.
Your day will start at 8.00 am, when you will be welcomed by Distillery Manager Colin Poppy, who will outline your day ahead and introduce you to the production team. Colin, Davy, Neil and Josh will then oversee your time working with them in all aspects of their day, from milling and mashing through to distilling and cask filling. We do not rely on automation here, so prepare to be very busy!
Regardless of your level of whisky making knowledge, you are assured of learning something new. As the winner of the Icons of Whisky Craft Producer of the Year in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022, we are proud to be able to offer you a rare opportunity to experience whisky making the way it always used to be.
Your day will finish relaxing in the Family Room with a very special dram.
Lunch is provided, so if you have any dietary requirements, please let us know via bookings@ballindallochdistillery.com.
Date: Thursday
