Aberdeen Angus 150th Anniversary Release

We are delighted to announce the release of an exceptional Ballindalloch single malt, created to globally commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Herd Book.

For generations, Ballindalloch Estate has been renowned for two remarkable legacies: exceptional Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, and the world’s oldest pedigree herd of Angus cattle.

This special anniversary release celebrates the 150th edition of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society’s Herd Book, honouring a breed whose influence now reaches around the globe. Many Angus cattle worldwide can trace their lineage back to the historic herd that has grazed the fields before Ballindalloch Castle.

At Ballindalloch, whisky and cattle remain deeply connected. Draff from the distillery helps feed the Estate’s Angus herd, while natural by-products return to the land as part of the Estate’s crop rotation. This circular approach is central to Ballindalloch Distillery's identity as one of the few true single estate distilleries in Scotland and allows it to be the first member outside of North America of the Estate Whisky Alliance.

Crafted in collaboration with the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society, this limited release brings together two proud pillars of Ballindalloch Estate: pedigree Angus breeding and single malt Scotch whisky. This small distillery rarely releases whisky to the USA. This bottling is a one-off release and currently limited to only 300 bottles for the USA.

To commemorate this milestone, 10% of the proceeds from each bottle sold will support the work of the American Angus Association.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruit salad, ripe banana, and a hint of tangerine
Palate: Vanilla, milk chocolate, and ripe fruit, reminiscent of chocolate-covered raisins
Finish: Long, balanced, and gently drying, with pleasant wood tannins

Production Notes
• This Single Malt is around 50% first fill ex-Sherry matured whisky and 50% first fill ex-Bourbon matured whisky carefully married to create one of our finest releases yet.
• Bottled at 50% ABV (100 Proof)
• Non-chill filtered
• No color added
• 700ml
