Cask 58

We are delighted to say “Happy Birthday” to our very first commercially available 10-year-old Ballindalloch Single Malt, which now becomes the oldest ever Ballindalloch on sale to date.

Cask 58, a Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead, was distilled on 23/10/14 and bottled on its birthday on 23/10/24 at a natural cask strength of 58.3%, with no chill filtration and no added colour.

Initially filled to a virgin oak hogshead before being transferred to the ‘PX’ sherry cask in February 2017, the resultant liquid is a deep mahogany colour with a nose redolent of raisins and dark chocolate and flavours of Christmas cake on the palate.

You can add a personalised hand-engraved message to the bottle, creating a unique gift or keepsake. Please scroll through the photos to view an engraved example.

The hand engraving will be carried out on Speyside by local Artist in Glass, Giles Lawson Johnston, a second-generation engraver.

The last order date is the 13th of December to guarantee delivery for Christmas. Any orders placed after this date will be delivered in mid-January.
